11 April, 2016 – Vanuatu’s national carrier, Air Vanuatu has announced they will resume their Sydney Thursday and Saturday services, and Brisbane Sunday service from June 2016, offering Aussie travellers more opportunities to escape the chill this winter.
The Sydney Thursday service will commence on 2 June, 2016, followed by the Saturday service on 4 June, 2016. The Brisbane Sunday service will begin operation on 5 June, 2016.
All other schedules will continue to operate at the same frequency, bringing the total to nine flights weekly from Australia to Port Vila. In addition, Air Vanuatu will also continue their schedule to the outer island of Santo, with weekly flights ex Brisbane and at least twice daily ex Port Vila.
Air Vanuatu manager commercial, Australia Paul Forbes said it’s great to see a growing interest in Vanuatu and Aussie travellers wanting to experience the unique culture, hospitality and environment with their family and friends.
“We have had strong interest over the winter period with greater demand for additional flights. Vanuatu is the perfect holiday destination over winter, offering sunshine and beach experience, and all just over three hours away,” Mr Forbes said.
“We are also very excited to offer guests the opportunity to experience our new Boeing 737-800, which now operates on the Sydney and Brisbane to Port Vila routes and delivers a new level of comfort across the Pacific.”
