VANUATU LAUNCHES ONLINE TRAINING INCENTIVE

26 May, 2016: Vanuatu Tourism Office (VTO) is giving Australian travel agents the chance to escape the office and ‘Discover What Matters’, to celebrate the launch of the destination’s new online training incentive programme.

To be eligible for a place on the next group famil, agents must complete the five modules and achieve the ‘Vanuatu Specialist’ status. They then need to submit 25 words or less on how they would ‘Discover What Matters’ in Vanuatu, by 17 June, 2016. Winners will be selected based on the most creative responses.

VTO’s general manager, Linda Kalpoi said the new online training incentive programme is designed to incentivise travel agents to become Vanuatu specialists.

“Travel agents are vital for our tourism growth strategy and by building this programme we hope we can provide the tools they need to best be able to sell Vanuatu and all it can offer Aussies looking for their next overseas holiday,” Ms Kalpoi said.

“We feel the best knowledge of Vanuatu comes from firsthand experience and we also want to excite and motivate agents to get involved and have a go, so we have added a competition component to this,” she said.

“Agents can also take advantage of exclusive industry accommodation and air rates, such as Air Vanuatu’s AUD$50* airfare, so they too can experience Vanuatu firsthand.”

The comprehensive online training programme is part of the new trade website and overall campaign to promote Vanuatu in the Australian market, which is being rolled out over the next few weeks.
